The Physioshark Project

Baby Sharks & Climate Change

The Physioshark project investigates how climate change-induced environmental stressors impact the physiology of young sharks in the waters of French Polynesia. How does the rising acidity in the ocean affect sharks? Is the increasing temperature of concern? Associate Prof. Dr. Jodie Rummer's team studies the sharks in their natural environment and laboratory settings to find answers to these questions and many more.
